Most depressing site of the week:

Yahoo! Answers highlights the aggressive stupidity of The Common Person. Just reading these "answers" depresses me.

Holy Jebus!

"Do you think that we are in hour last hours?"

Its interesting to me that the meme of impending apocalypse (in a not nessecarily pejorative sense) is so prevalent, in forms varying from singularitarianism to Bible humping, I mean thumping. But damn, learn how to spell. And I don't think suggesting we "start living for god" is a specific enough panacea for the problems we face as a species.

Another one asked "shouldn't Africans just kill themselves?" so all their problems can cleanly resolve and we can use that land to expand the U.S. economy.

I'm sure thats just a roughly average sample of the excrement.

I thought you were being curmudgeonly until I clicked the link, but now I need to take a shower.

Personally, I like the fact that at least 20% of the people think any given problem can be solved by "praying".

Poverty can be solved by praying! Hunger, solved by prayer!

World peace can be had by praying! Despite the fact that the only real threat to world peace is prayer!
